Verifying Members

Any union member can sign up for the phone app using the information you want them to provide. Once they have signed up, an admin must manually approve them before they can begin using the app. Here’s how to verify new sign-ups:

  1. Login to the app manager.
  2. From the menu on the left-hand side, click Users and Devices.
  3. Click the Unverified tab at the top of the list. The number in parentheses is how many members are waiting for approval.

Each unverified member’s row shows a yellow status dot. You can click anywhere on a row to expand it and see the member’s registered device(s), account status, and the information they submitted during sign-up — useful for confirming the person is who they say they are before approving them.

  1. For each member you want to verify, click the dropdown arrow next to the green Edit button at the right end of the row, then click Verify.

Confirm the prompt and the member’s status dot turns green. They’ll move to the Verified tab and can start using the app immediately.

If a sign-up is fraudulent or doesn’t belong in your local, click Reject from the same menu instead. Rejected members appear under the Rejected tab with a red status dot and cannot use the app.

It is possible to make this process automatic by checking new sign-ups against a member access list that you upload. If you are interested in automating this process, get in touch with us.
